Jake and Lee Tadley Youth Fund

In August ’07 two local boys, Jake Burden (18) and Lee Robinson (16) were killed in a tragic car accident along the A340, Tadley to Basingstoke Road, when the car they were passengers in collided with the petrol pumps at Gales Garage.

Jake had recently finished his construction course at Basingstoke College of Technology and was looking for an apprenticeship with a local company.
Lee had just finished school and was awaiting his GCSE results, of which he passed, and was planning to enrol in a tree surgery course at a local college.
Both boys were known for their kind and polite natures and were a credit to the community.
Their popularity was evident from the outpouring of grief after the accident, the likes of which have never been seen before. Tadley was stunned.

The local BMX riders and skaters organised an informal tribute two weeks after the accident. From this event enough money was raised to have a memorial bench designed by the boy’s friends, and made by a local company. This was unveiled at the Memorial Jam 2008.

From this event the Jake 'n' Lee Tadley Youth Fund was formed. A group of likeminded Mum’s got together and decided that:
